Dream in Symmetry

I awaken to find myself in a dreamy sleep.

My teeth fly from my head as metal does to a magnet. I am floating in everything and nothing. I am floating in the Void. Terrors and fears meld with memory to create a grotesque menagerie of figures simultaneously immediate and distant; caricatures intimately unfamiliar. I constantly feel as if I am falling, but my feet have never been as firmly planted on the ground. I grow accustomed to the odd, and fearful of the mundane. Day and night blend together, but I know I must rest.

I lay asleep, and dream myself awake.
